I was intending in this post to cover an article by the British ISDT Ace the late Ken Heanes covering his experience as a rider in an ISDT in Austria. However a surprise gift by email from our Euro correspondent of the final results of the ISDT of 1970 in Spain meant I bumped that story on for another post.

Photo was actually taken at AWRE Aldermaston (scene of the demonstrations against atomic weapons) on the occasion of the launch of the Cheney-Triumph Trophy Team bikes. After this launch, the team had a stretch on their new bikes by doing a local enduro run by the Aldermaston Nomads MCC. A bit unfair on most of the team as it was a “written on paper” route, with minimal routemarking.
Thanks Brian I grabbed that quick just to fill a gap I will pick another from Spain soon. Don’t suppose you have one of my old mate the late Ivor Smart in action in Spain.
