This undated image found its way here without any details I’m going to guess this is an ISDT 1976 image judging by the KTN tank decals, with the rider #199 being a vase or trophy team rider.. any ideas until i get a named entry list or results sheet?

I found these pictures set in a piece on the blogged history of an Police Cheney ridden in the ISDT in Austria by David Randall.

  1. KTM #199 is British Army rider Bob Belton in Camerina 1974. Bob was my friend and guide during my Army days at Bordon. I spectated at that event and first met him there.

He rode a 125 Rickman Zundapp purchased from Ken Heans shop in the 1976 ISDT. I rode as a Army individual on a 360 Bultaco Frontera in ’76 and gained a Silver.

I’ve had a problem with Microsoft cloud corrupting the pdf files so they cannot be opened I am going to have to rescan them all. I thought they were saver there than here

  3. As mentioned in

KTM’s shifting drum failure also jeopardized Italy’s World Trophy effort (the Italian team was al all-KTM one, and 2 or 3 out of 6 broke)
