I was recently contacted via email by Baz Staple, Chairman and Archivist of the ‘Sunbeam Motorcycle Club‘, one of the longest established Club teams entering the ISDT. Baz asked if we would be willing to look after a few items that originated from C M ‘Bob’ Ray, to which I was more than willing to agree, subsequently in the post came a small bundle of treasure we are going to share here and ensure it is added to our growing collection of British ISDT artefacts, saving them from anonymity and oblivion.

The following images were taken by Professional Photographers

One of the true gems of the gift is yet another souvenir of the ISDT 1953  to go with PH ‘Jim’ Alves’s Gold Medal is this original Finishers Award that was given to each rider and this one went to GB Vase ‘A’ Team CM ‘Bob’ Ray.

The bundle was topped off with an original copy of an event programme for the 1954 ISDT
